TRANSFORMING EDUCATION IN A TIME OF PLANETARY CRISIS

Center For New Meaning educates, curates, and debates with the aim of creating deep ecological awareness and more widespread climate literacy.

Evolving as a response to the climate and ecological crises, CFNM facilitates aesthetic and informative learning activities that propose new ways of radically caring for and taking action in the world.

Challenging business as usual, we will take new steps to create new meaning in a new reality. Take a look at our art and educational programs to learn more.

EXHIBITION PLATFORM

WONM

Works of New Meaning exhibits and archives works of new meaning. Often works of art, they can also be other kinds of ecocritical works suggesting new ways of seeing and being in the world. Artists and other contributors share their research, works or projects in-the-making. Exhibitions and the archive exist digitally and physically, enabling cross-platform dialogue between audiences and people in the CFNM network, as well as a collective “meaning-seeking” space for exchange and learning.

About

CENTER FOR NEW MEANING is a platform for new approaches to sharing knowledge and stories about the world in the light of the climate and ecological crises. Evolving from a desire to educate and engage citizens and the bigger systems to take action, CFNM emerges as a hub for interdisciplinary and experimental studies and learning.

We gather artists, researchers, educators, activists, and curators to create new discourses and modes of modern education that encompass digital, affective, and aesthetic tools of learning.

How should we educate ourselves for being and creating a livable and just future, for all humans and non-humans, in this world? Please get in touch if you have any answers, solutions, projects, or ideas we should discuss!
